"Falling in love with Jesus"

"Fall in love with Jesus" is one of the top annoying phrases that some Christians use today.  These are the same Christians who also say that they will "love on" people.  Those phrases just don't sound right.  First of all, how are you supposed to "fall in love" with the Son of God?  Are you going to woo Him?  Make Him a candle lit dinner?  Take Him out on a nice date?  Sure it makes sense to say it to a woman, but how they heck can you say that to a guy, "Hey dude, you need to fall in love with Jesus." WHAT?!  That doesn't even sound right! Just stop saying that... Instead, say something like "Talk to Jesus/God daily," OR better yet! just tell people "Pray.  Pray daily and let God know what's going with you & thank Him for giving you another day to live."

Also, I understand that it's not the eros type of love when the annoying people say it... however, I'm not so sure that the non-Christian population understands that, so be careful when you say it, better yet don't say it at all.

Please stop saying "Fall in love with Jesus."  It just sounds creepy, weird, and somebody will get the wrong idea.  Just sayin'

P.S. The Bible doesn't say "fall in love with Jesus." Instead, the Bible says to ACKNOWLEDGE God, not fall in love with Him.
