Holidays

This doesn't grind my gears, but why do we have Grandparent's Day, Mother's Day, and Father's Day, but no Kid's day? Lets get this straight...

Your mother and father both get to be honored on: their birthday & their designated holiday (Mother's Day/Father's day).  I don't count anniversaries because if your not married to that person, you are not obligated to celebrate with/for them... That's what my father has taught me.

Your grandparents get honored on: their birthday, Mother's/Father's Day, and Grandparent's Day.

Now, what about us non parent/non grandparents? We only have our birthday.

What the hell Hallmark?

  1. June 1 is UNICEF international Children's Day. Pretty meaningless, but still... I've never heard it mentioned in the States, but it was common knowledge in Europe.
